Inspired by the deep and iconic history of the ironclad ships, Rustic Deco is proud to offer this exclusive industrial dining chair, the Casemate Ironclad. With its stately iron finish, the all-metal base is handsomely constructed from high-gauge steel and cast iron and accented with domed rivets. Priced and sold in pairs.

By rotating the seat, the chair's height can be smoothly adjusted from 21" to 33" and ring locked (standard dining table height to bar height). These chairs are extremely comfortable and feature elegant gray velvet upholstery yielding a unique chair that combines vintage industrial with farmhouse luxury.

Overall Dimensions (inches): 23W x 23D x 35-47H

Seat Height (inches): 21 to 33 (12-inch vertical range)

* Cast iron and steel base with distressed black-iron finish (satin sealer)
* High-grade gray velvet upholstery with padded foam seat cushion
* Hight adjustable seat with sturdy footrest
* Dome-top rivets accent the chair's base

* Net Weight 77 lbs. each

First commissioned for military use during the 1820s, obsolescence was not clearly defined for ironclad warships. They were used heavily during the American Civil War, with some ironclads seeing action during World War I. Literature does indicate, however, that distinctions between 'first-class ironclads' and long-range battleships widened during the 1870s due to steam-engine advancements.
