This novel tells the life of a family descending from one of the ancient Gulf tribes, whose head migrates during the British Mandate to the Sultanate of Oman and then returns to settle in the United Arab Emirates. Against the background of the boom in trade and the emergence of oil in the middle of the twentieth century, the names of flags, places, and events are inscribed in memory of the beginning of the emergence of a state. And the events of the novel extend between Morocco and Libya, passing through Algeria, to a young Moroccan woman in the prime of her life who rebels against her social reality that rejects women and robs her of her rights.
