Akagera National Park in Rwanda is the only savannah National park with the big five. This is an ideal place for day tours and guided safaris, though several self-drive safaris take place here. The park is located 2 and a half hours from Kigali, the capital, and is characterised by open grasslands, mountains, lakes and Swamps. These make is a complete ecosystem for wildlife.
